Water in the life of people
Water... It is so usual in the life of people, that almost nobody pays attention to it. We got used that we may have water whenever and wherever we want. But water is much more important in the life of people than we think it is.
Water has a great power, it may give life and destroy, it may help and make things worse, it may suffer, record everything it feels, and fill the people's lives with magic and miracles. Water is one of the world's wonders and a mystery till nowadays.
People know its structure from physical and chemical point of view. They know that people need to drink water every day. They know that the lack of rains causes pour harvest that leads to hunger in the world. They know that water in seas and oceans is filled with salt and that sweet water may be found in lakes and rivers, however there are several lakes with salt water. And this knowledge is almost everything people know about this element of nature.
Ancient people paid particular attention to water considering it to be one of four elements able to influence not only on physical health of people but also on psychological and mental health as well as on temper of a person. So, each of 12 zodiacs belongs to this or that element of nature. For example, ARIES, LEO, SAGITTARIUS belong to the element of fire; CANCER, SCORPIO, PISCES belong to the element of water; GEMINI, LIBRA, AQUARIUS belong to the element of air and TAURUS, VIRGO, CAPRICORN belong to the element of earth. Water played an important role in our life, making people believe in the element to which their zodiac refers.
Our Earth is full of water. There are five oceans, a great number of lakes, seas and rivers on our planet. But people don't protect them polluting water so that some seas and rivers simply dry out. If modern trends continue in few years our world will turn into one huge desert. There will be no water to drink and everything and everybody will die out too. Acid rains kill everything travelling even to countries where the problem of pollution is not so bad.
Water is a wonderful creature with feelings, memory, concerns. It records everything it sees and hears, producing in such way either negative or positive impact. Water is so powerful. Huge waves and storms in oceans and seas destroy ships taking them to the ocean floor. Tsunami damages cities and lands killing people that were not to lucky to escape.
But it is hard to imagine summer without seaside and a cost of the ocean. People swim and enjoy their time bathing in the sea.
Water is able to make the person's body and soul clean. And it is the substance that is the base of everything in the world. It keeps people alive, cleans them, helps them, destroys them and kills them.
In Ancient Greece people believed that Poseidon was the god of water, who was very powerful and there were a few other gods who were brave enough to challenge Poseidon. Ancient mythology tells about great number of mythological creatures that lived in the water. And this is the best proof that water plays an important role in the life of people.
